I somehow by junior year of college had managed to wiggle my way out of every writing class that TNS offered other than sitcom writing. Then junior year I was told to graduate I at least had to take foundations in playwriting. Begrudgingly I said yes.Â
At the time of the spring semester of 2021 something about me was actively different I wanted something new. For the first two and half years of college I wanted to do improv and stand up comedy. Though I still adore improv and tolerate stand up I knew something in me had shifted. I began using my correct pronouns and exploring my gender identity/presentation from the safety of my bedroom in the fall semester I had taken off. Then came spring was the birth of Pegg Allmen my drag persona and the birth of the Cherry Pit. Which is my thesis that I am writing based off of my own drag experience and many others that I've been able to interview. With the goal being  to show more diverse drag. Contact for more information!
